API World + AI DevWorld

Most cities in the US have published open data sets. Some have even published open APIs to bring their city datasets to the developer community. However, there are very few private sector APIs that currently are available to cities and local government. This session explores the world of APIs that cities can utilize for economic development, urban planning, mobility analysis, transit management, weather updates, crime insights, real estate valuation and taxation. This session also makes the case for the civic tour of duty for technology companies, to open their APIs and contribute to the improvement of local neighborhoods, towns and cities.
