I started a machine learning startup in early 2018, by September we were acquired by a market leader in delivering AI to the enterprise. Part of the reason we were acquired after only 9 months was because we made it very simple for enterprises to solve their everyday problems with machine learning using Docker containers and a first-rate developer experience.

AI isn’t about replacing humans, it is about augmenting their work. These are my three example use cases companies used our machine learning products to solve:
1) A major clothing brand wanted to automate the tagging of product attributes because doing so with humans was time-consuming and often resulted in many errors in the data.
2) A kiosk manufacturer wanted to add face recognition to their kiosks so that customers could login to take advantage of customer loyalty programs and check out faster.
3) A major broadcasting technology company wanted to allow users to be able to search through massive amounts of video content by who or what is in the content, saving content managers time and letting them focus on getting their media distributed.

I will break down and discuss each use case and how the technology helped solve them, how the common hurdles to adopting AI were overcome, how these companies came to on board our technology so quickly, and how others can jump in and start saving time and money with machine learning.
