Ballerina is a cloud native programming language, tailored for network-awareness and microservices development. Its native containers/Kubernetes awareness makes scalable deployments an easy task. This also combines with the support for serverless frameworks such as IBM Functions and AWS Lambda. Cloud providers such as Azure, Google, and Amazon makes it easier for a company to create their deployments quickly using their support for deployment options such as standalone VMs and Kubernetes deployments. We also have CI/CD deployment options such as Jenkins, Travis, and also, the latest addition of GitHub Actions makes it much simpler to define your workflows for creating build/deploy pipelines. In this session, Anjana will discuss how these tools and technologies can be used in creating efficient microservices deployment pipelines.
