Building enterprise conversational bots pose unique challenges, including custom domain-specific NLU models, complexity in enterprise dialog logic, integration of bot analytics to larger enterprise analytics data-lakes, and security. In this talk, we will discuss lessons learned in building an enterprise conversational bot for the insurance domain that address these issues, specifically why we built our platform using open-source components instead of leveraging 3rd party bot platforms.
