Web hooks are popular for processing event reactions and a useful tool in API design, but have some limitations when it comes to building private microservices. In a distributed system with many microservices, you can instead use event buses to work around the problems associated with web hooks, and make it easier to debug and manage the growth of your applications. In this session, I’ll introduce the essentials of using a serverless event bus to improve application security and scale, and show how events can dramatically simplify your messaging in complex applications.
