In mobile, there’s been an explosion of technology choices at every level of the stack and app lifecycle. There are dozens of frameworks/platforms to build mobile apps, and developers can choose from 1000s of mobile SDKs and APIs to complete the functionality of their apps.

This freedom is awesome for developers as they have a tremendous amount of flexibility to use the best tools available to deliver their mobile outcomes as quickly and efficiently as possible.

However, the burden of mobile security usually falls on mobile developers to implement and this creates a number of challenges:
1. There’s no common integration layer in mobile to add services or apply security universally. That’s why there are thousands of SDKs, and each one of them requires the source code of an app to change.
2. Securing mobile apps and APIs is subjective. It relies on a mobile developer to read SDKs, understand the service in the SDK, then modify the code to implement the service. There’s a lot of room for error.
3. Traditional security approaches don’t work in mobile. They are either too intrusive, too hard to implement, or too narrow in focus.

In this workshop, you will get a hands-on overview of how mobile app developers can secure their apps, the APIs and SDKs in their apps, and protect their back-end servers from credential stuffing and all other vectors of attack.
