There is always discussion about API security - that much is a given, you need to secure your APIs. But what is often overlooked is the aspect of securing the API lifecycle.

Through all phases of an API - from strategy and design to deployment and optimization - there are vulnerabilities for malicious attacks that can allow unauthorized access, published unapproved APIs, and expose data.

In this presentation, Rod Cope, CTO of Rogue Wave Software, will discuss:
•    Secure promotion through the API lifecycle with CI/CD
•    How to secure the API lifecycle process to prevent unauthorized APIs
• How Akana Lifecycle Management uses checks and balances to ensure nothing makes it into production unless approved
