The Ford Connected Vehicle APIs are part of a growing Ford Smart Mobility ecosystem of API driven capabilities. These APIs provide a framework for vehicle makers and developers, allowing them to focus on creating some of the best experiences for customers who use our connectivity systems. Today these APIs power diverse experiences from partners such as Alexa, Google Assistant, FordPass, Spiffy, Amazon Key, and others. The APIs are evolving to incorporate various Electric and Autonomous Vehicle scenarios.The Ford Connected vehicle journey began in 2013, and our API strategy and products have pivoted at multiple waypoints along our journey. This session will highlight the challenges, successes, and lessons learned in bringing global vehicle connectivity and their corresponding APIs to market at scale.
